Notes: I look back at the Dent de Morcles and the tree covered ridge in front, from which I've come. A few minutes later Guy manages to fly overhead and lands in the field by the football pitch. We've flown nearly 80km in about five and a half hours.  What an epic day!  I feel completely elated and proud, until I learn that my sky-god colleague, Patrice, has flown about 200km during a real eight and a half hour epic, starting from Plan Praz in the Chamonix Valley at 10:30 in the morning.  The lesson is to start early, but then I worked the morning and didn't launch till 2:30pm.
